This has me considering the purchase of my first console system since the snes.

The graphics are almost the same as the cartoon based arcade game, Dragon's Lair.

Why are you guys so into dragons and wizards and magic and shit?

Gameplay mechanics.

I don't give two shits about the story, or whether the world was fantasy/Sifi based so long as the mechanics of the game are such that I find it enjoyable to play.

This thing looks kind of monster hunter -ish with maybe enough of a twist to make the game play novel, and I really did rather enjoy Monster Hunter. So I am excited to see what it turns out like.
